Pro Musicis International Award announcement letter

October 20, 2017

Dear Molly, Miki-Sophia, Andrew and Tricia,

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Jury chaired by Gilbert Kalish, it is my pleasure to confirm that you have been selected for the 2017 Pro Musicis International Award and the Father Eugène Merlet Award for Community Service. Welcome to the roster of Pro Musicis artists.

Your awards will be officially conferred at the Annual Award Gala at The Consulate of France in New York City. You will be invited to perform at the May 2018 Gala. Details will follow as soon as the date is confirmed.

Father Eugène Merlet, a French Capuchin Franciscan priest and musician, founded Pro Musicis in Paris in 1965 to nurture and share the artistic inspiration of the world’s finest concert artists. He pioneered the concept of a classical music award combined with a social mission.

We invite you to be mindful of the Pro Musicis values: Music is vital for the well being of all. The spiritual message of music must be at the heart of all we do. The greatest joy in life is derived from giving joy to others.

We look forward to presenting you in your New York debut in Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall in the fall of 2018, and offering you a state of the art recording at Yamaha Artist Services as well as career development opportunities and performances. In addition, The Father Merlet Award of $4,000 will provide resources for you to advance Project Music Heals Us.

We look forward to working with you and are delighted to have you in the Pro Musicis family.
